The Work

The USC executes our mission through a three-prong approach.  Our initiatives and programs are developed to meet three specific goals:

Building a Cooperative Platform

The USC welcomes anyone who wants to use soccer and youth development programming to change the lives of at-risk youth in underserved communities. Our members include small grassroots organizations as well as larger organizations that have developed outreach programs.  In addition to the organizations we serve, the USC has developed key partnerships with various local, national and international organizations including the U.S. Soccer Foundation and Streetfootball World.

Creating Organizational Development Initiatives

In order for USC members to produce sustainable positive results, they must develop and maintain best practices around fundraising, training, marketing, governance, and program development.  The USC meets this need by developing program initiatives, educational opportunities, and trainings in these and other areas of organizational development.

Creating Youth Development Initiatives

Youth Development is at the center of the USC’s mission, soccer is the hook, youth development is the goal.  Soccer is a beautiful game providing opportunities for: leadership development, creation of healthy habits, educational excellence, and lessons in teamwork and discipline.  The addition of intentional quality youth development programming ensures that these outcomes are consistent and have a sustainable impact resulting in social change at the grassroots level.  Our Youth Development Initiatives directly target the young participants. These initiatives enhance what is happening at the local level by providing programming that is not available through or is an extension of the local organization.
