Organizational Development

The USC helps organizations and programs create sustainable, positive results and maintain high-quality standards. We do this through initiatives that provide opportunities, education, and training in areas such as fundraising, program development, coaching education, curriculum resources, and much more. Current USC Initiatives include:

Advocacy Day (Winter)

National Urban Soccer Symposium (Spring)

Local Urban Soccer Summits (Year Round)

Advocacy  Day

During Advocacy Day, USC members are given the opportunity to develop relationships with their Congressional representatives in both the House and Senate. This event allows for USC members to discuss the work they are doing on the ground and the impact they are having in their local communities.

National Urban Soccer Symposium

The Symposium is the only national event that provides resources, training, and networking opportunities for those using soccer as a tool for youth development in under-resourced communities. Fundraising, partnership development, coaching education, life skill programming, and qualitystandards are just some of the training workshops that are offered during the Symposium.

Local Urban Soccer Summits

The USC believes that the heart of this movement lies at the local level.  The synergy is produced when local organizations and programs come together can bring significant and sustainable change.  Our goal is to create the opportunity for programs to come together on the local level for a half-day summit with the objectives of:

  • Identifying programs currently delivering or looking to deliver soccer programming to youth in underserved communities.
  • Introduce and connect programs and organizations to each other.
  • Identify specific needs and challenges
  • Identify strategies and practices to address identified challenges
  • Initiate and foster opportunities for local collaborations.
